At AltemisLab, we care deeply about the environment and the impact of laboratory plastics. We work continuously with our partners to remove the equivalent of our plastic production from the environment and to recycle our AlteTube™ range.
We care about the oceans
We contribute to plastic removal by purchasing certified plastic credits from our partner, Seven Clean Seas. These credits not only enable the removal of plastic waste from coastal and marine environments in Indonesia, but also help build local waste management systems in regions lacking formal infrastructure. These projects are verified by third-party certifications (Zero Plastic Ocean’s OBP Neutrality Certification) and audited by Control Union, ensuring transparency and measurable impact.
The work not only recovers ocean plastic but also provides formal employment with fair wages, safety protections, and social security for local waste workers. Therefore, by purchasing our 2D coded sample storage tubes, you too will be making a contribution to remove plastic waste from our oceans.
For a sustainable science industry
We also partner with RecycleLab, a waste management recycling specialists for plastic science laboratory consumables. RecycleLab offers a bespoke plastic laboratory consumable waste collection, sorting and recycling service, specifically designed for science labs.
